Oh Boy!!!

We were so excited to find out today that we are having a son. We would have been uber excited either way but now that we know, let the planning begin. The first thing I would like to start working on is his nursery. Let me just say that I have been scouring the internet for baby bedding and there is so much out there but I am just so picky. I hope I can find something soon because I want to start pulling things together.

Babies, Babies, Babies!!!

Although the intention of this blog was to divulge various aspects of my life--becoming a mommy is front and center for right now. So this is a warning that for the next 6 months or so many of my posts will be baby related.

Life is constantly changing...part deux

Although I have lost a life in 2010, I am preparing for the arrival of new life. My husband and I are expecting our first child. We are so excited, nervous, and grateful ☺

Life is constantly changing...

Life is constantly changing…..

Life has truly changed since my last post. On a sad note, my father passed away. Although he did have health issues is death was sudden and unexpected. Even though he will miss many of the milestones of my life and those of my younger brother and sister—he still lived a relatively full life. Surprisingly, for the past month or so I haven’t been grieving the loss as much but I have been trying to celebrate his life and the positive memories.

In memory of his life:

-My brother, sister, and I are going on a family trip to the beach this summer. We were supposed to all go, but even though he won’t make it I’m sure he would still want us to go.

-I’m going to keep my plants alive. My dad definitely had a green thumb and really enjoyed plants and gardening. Plants and gardening are not my thing at all. In fact, the three tiny plants that I currently have in my kitchen (that I barely keep alive) were put there by my dad. At the funeral someone sent this beautiful plant, and I have adopted it. I am going to try hard to keep these plants alive and eventually I may add a few more throughout the house—He would be proud!
