So much in a short period of time....

In addition to my new addition, my husband and I have been experiencing other change. We've relocated to Baltimore, known as the "Charm City". We've decided to start our new life with Christian here. I have lived in Atlanta all of my life, so moving here has been quite the change. Also, moving with a newborn was definitely a challenge as well. I never realized how much I took the familiar for granted. I know I am in the hardest phase of this transition and that with time things will be much easier. In the meantime I am just soaking in every moment with my precious little boy!

It's been a looonnngggg time!!!

In my last post I left off showing my big belly. Although my belly is still big(smile) the baby on the inside made his way into the world. Christian Andre is here and he is the center of my universe right now. He is healthy, and happy and keeping his mommy quite busy these days.

Oh Boy!!!

We were so excited to find out today that we are having a son. We would have been uber excited either way but now that we know, let the planning begin. The first thing I would like to start working on is his nursery. Let me just say that I have been scouring the internet for baby bedding and there is so much out there but I am just so picky. I hope I can find something soon because I want to start pulling things together.

Babies, Babies, Babies!!!

Although the intention of this blog was to divulge various aspects of my life--becoming a mommy is front and center for right now. So this is a warning that for the next 6 months or so many of my posts will be baby related.

Life is constantly changing...part deux

Although I have lost a life in 2010, I am preparing for the arrival of new life. My husband and I are expecting our first child. We are so excited, nervous, and grateful ☺

Life is constantly changing...

Life is constantly changing…..

Life has truly changed since my last post. On a sad note, my father passed away. Although he did have health issues is death was sudden and unexpected. Even though he will miss many of the milestones of my life and those of my younger brother and sister—he still lived a relatively full life. Surprisingly, for the past month or so I haven’t been grieving the loss as much but I have been trying to celebrate his life and the positive memories.

In memory of his life:

-My brother, sister, and I are going on a family trip to the beach this summer. We were supposed to all go, but even though he won’t make it I’m sure he would still want us to go.

-I’m going to keep my plants alive. My dad definitely had a green thumb and really enjoyed plants and gardening. Plants and gardening are not my thing at all. In fact, the three tiny plants that I currently have in my kitchen (that I barely keep alive) were put there by my dad. At the funeral someone sent this beautiful plant, and I have adopted it. I am going to try hard to keep these plants alive and eventually I may add a few more throughout the house—He would be proud!

I have spring fever

Today is cold and rainy but my mind is on nicer days. I'm ready to pull out my sandals, and I've fell head over heels(he!he!) for another pair :) I like these because they are the perfect casual shoe for a day out at the mall or lunch with girlfriends. I also looove the color and they will go perfectly with my favorite bag. I'm gonna keep my eye on these and if they go on sale I may just pick them up.

New Year, New Me!!!

So I decided to do something a little different to start 2010. I thought it would be fun to have a vision board party. Vision boards are visual representations of upcoming plans and/or goals. I have quite a few goals for the year...too many to list in one post, but I will tell you about one of the things on my board. I'm sure the first thing on that pops out to you is the bright pink mask. This represents many things to me. I am introverted by nature, shy, and often I hold my tongue for various reasons. However, because of this I believe that I regularly miss out on good conversation, networking opportunities, and the list goes on. I've decided to make more of an effort to "show" myself, hence coming out from behind the mask. There are several actions I have decided to take but one major step is this blog. It's an opportunity for me to reflect, vent, learn, share, and meet people. Looking forward to all that I hope my new blog will bring!!!
